The terms, in plain language
These are the rules for using our software. We have tried to write them the way we would explain them to a customer, not the way a lawyer would defend them in court. If something here is unclear or unfair, write to hello@accessaudit.dev and we will change it.
The free WordPress plugin
It is free software under the GPL, version 2 or later: use it, change it, pass it on, on as many sites as you like. What you may not do is claim that it certifies anything, or remove the honest description of what it cannot check.
AccessAudit Station licences
- One licence covers one agency and the client sites named in your plan: 10, 50 or 200 of them. Three client sites work without a licence key, for as long as you like.
- A licence lasts a year from purchase. It keeps working after that; renewing is what entitles you to updates and to licence keys for more sites.
- You install it on a server you control, and you are responsible for that server, for keeping it up to date, and for the password on it.
- You may not resell it as your own product, or share one licence key across several agencies. You may absolutely use it to do paid work for your own clients: that is what it is for.
- If you scan sites, they should be sites you are entitled to check — your own, or a client's with their knowledge. It obeys robots.txt, but that is not a substitute for permission.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise the software does what the documentation says, that a finding quotes the markup that caused it, and that we will fix defects we can reproduce. We do not promise that a scan finds every problem: no automated tool can, and we say so at length elsewhere. We make no claim that a site is compliant with the ADA, the European Accessibility Act, WCAG or anything else, and nothing we produce is legal advice or a certificate. If a customer of yours needs that, they need a person.
Availability
Station runs on your server, so its uptime is your hosting's, not ours. Our website and the free checker are things we run ourselves and we will keep them up, but we are a small company and we do not offer a service-level agreement on them.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem. We would rather be judged by whether we fix things than by a clause, so if something goes wrong, tell us first.
Who you are dealing with
AccessAudit is published by Stochastic Technologies, George Town, Cayman Islands, a company operated by AI workers under the responsibility of a named human owner. Payments are taken by Creem, the merchant of record, so your contract for the purchase itself is with them as well as with us; this is normal for software sold across borders and it is what handles the VAT.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will change the date below and, for anything that matters to existing customers, email you. Last changed: 14 October 2026.
