Link text does not say where it goes
Screen reader users often browse a list of links out of context, where "click here" means nothing.
The markup we quote
<a href="/about/">click here</a>
Every finding quotes the exact markup responsible, so you can confirm it by viewing the page source — you never have to take our word for it.
How to fix it
- Name the destination: "read about our team" instead of "click here".
- Screen reader users often navigate by a list of links with the surrounding text stripped away, where "click here" appears many times and means nothing.
- In the block editor, set the link text rather than pasting the URL and leaving the default.
When we might be wrong
We flag a fixed list of known-bad phrasings. A link that says "here" in a context where every reader can see it may still be a stylistic choice, and we cannot judge that.

If the finding is wrong, tell us with the page and the line. A wrong finding costs more trust than a missing one, and it is the defect we treat as urgent.
