Alt text says nothing useful
Words like "image", "photo" or "logo" are announced before the description anyway, so they add noise instead of meaning.
The markup we quote
<img src="/uploads/logo.png" alt="image">
Every finding quotes the exact markup responsible, so you can confirm it by viewing the page source — you never have to take our word for it.
How to fix it
- Describe the content or the purpose in a few words: for a logo that links home, the company name plus "home page" is usually right.
- Alt text is read in place of the image, so it should make sense where the image sits.
When we might be wrong
Single-word alt text can be legitimate when the word is the content, as in a chart labelled "Revenue". We flag a fixed list of placeholder words, not short ones.

If the finding is wrong, tell us with the page and the line. A wrong finding costs more trust than a missing one, and it is the defect we treat as urgent.
