Link opens a new window without warning
A new tab is disorienting for people who cannot see that it happened, and the back button no longer behaves as expected.
The markup we quote
<a href="https://example.com" target="_blank">Report</a>
Every finding quotes the exact markup responsible, so you can confirm it by viewing the page source — you never have to take our word for it.
How to fix it
- Either remove
target="_blank", or say in the link text that it opens a new tab. - WordPress adds
target="_blank"when you tick "open in a new tab" in the link dialog; the checkbox is the thing to clear.
When we might be wrong
A link that already warns the reader, in its text or in an accessible name, is not reported.

If the finding is wrong, tell us with the page and the line. A wrong finding costs more trust than a missing one, and it is the defect we treat as urgent.
